We had a neighbor whose dog would not quit barking. Called front desk. They said they would handle it. Called 3 more times and the front desk lady acted like she could not hear me. I called using my cellphone and she again stated she would handle it. It barked until after 6 in the morning. Went the next morning and they said they would tell manager. Would not even call manager for me.

If you're on a tight budget, this is actually a great value motel. Yes, the age is showing on the exterior of the building. But they've made the effort to do so renovations that help make the room comfortable and clean. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The pool was clean. The breakfast was good. My 5 star rating on an older property needing some exterior maintenance is because the price, relative to the condition makes it a great value motel. No complaints for a good nights sleep here.

Will you just want to give a shout out to Drew and Tina who worked there they were very nice and understanding because we had problems with a couple, other hotels. And it was a very good place to stay.

DON’T STAY AT THIS PLACE!!! DO NOT STAY AT LA QUINTA IN AMARILLO!!! -Dirty bedding and floors. By the looks of it, this place is NEVER cleaned. -Clogged bathtub drain. -Phone not working. -The management allows smoking in the rooms and does not do anything to prevent continuous all night long noise emitted by other less considerate guests. -The management don’t want to or can’t provide another room when the noise or tobacco smoke becomes a health issue to one’s pregnant wife, 3 yrs old and 5 yrs old child. -The management hides and completely ignores the troublesome matters that are brought up to their attention. -Complete disregard and understanding of what the standard for a quite, healthy stay should be. -No refund offered or given for escaping distressing situation. The following options are part of a stay package at La Quinta and be sure that these are provided: -staying and tolerating the conditions of degrading, humiliating and demeaning customer service -leaving (checking out) at once, and be given a choice of taking it up with the corporate -or be arrested for trespassing NEVER AGAIN WILL STAY IN “LA QUINTA”!!!

The staff were great as was breakfast. Great that there were some eating options within walking distance. The only downsides were small things. No cups for the coffee machine, no plastic cups and the floor was really dirty. Other than that it’s a nice spot for a short stay. The pool is so cute for small families too.
