"Clean comfortable bed, hot shower, microwave, cold mini fridge, coffee maker, working TV with DirecTV. Good locks and blackout curtains. Nice reception lady. It was quiet on a Saturday night. Safe area. The parking lot does fill up later, if you leave you'll lose your spot so just walk or taxi to downtown, it's a 10 minute walk. Also walkable to Ventura pier/beach. The Kwikimart store across the street is very convenient but overpriced fyi. Good close casual dining options for fish tacos and Mexican food literally a block away: Spencer MaKenzie's Fish Co. and my personal fave, Corrales #1. It was a good stay! :)"

"People and property were all fantastic. Breakfast was better than I expected. The area around the proper was not the best but there is a great Mexican seafood restaurant within walking distance. Would definitely stay there again "

"Helpful staff, questions answered, accessible room not available. I they upgraded and put me a few doors down as close to the exit as possible noting they would notify me of emergency as I am deaf hard of hearing and other rooms don’t have notification systems. Everyone is always so helpful at HIE! Thank you for making my stay great! "
