It’s a beautiful haven of tranquility set in a spectacular landscape with the call to prayer reasoning down the valley. We highly recommend a break here. "This is a small hotel, one hour south of Marrakesh. It was a nice drive through a couple of villages and slowly climbing but you're in no way at a significant altitude. I asked for a car to take us from our hotel in Marrakesh. That was fine but in hindsight I should have arranged it myself and probably saved myself half the 70 euros I did pay. You could certainly arrange pickup from the lodge by someone from Marrakesh but we did use their (different) man, who drove us back and was friendly. I had been emailing Mohamed and he was helpful but he didn't offer lots of information unless asked. When you are there, there is nowhere else to eat, so you need to like tajines for dinner. There is a sweet little pool although unheated and was very cold in early April but still welcome after a 5-hour guided walk (arranged by the lodge, lunch halfway round) on a warm day around the valley. The guide was called Ibrahim and he was a brilliant guy with excellent English. Back at the lodge, in the bedroom there were no blackout blinds so take an eyemask or be prepared to wake up early! There was no TV but that was no problem and the internet did work but was a bit patchy. Breakfast was OK - pancakes, bread, boiled eggs, OJ, which we ate in the large garden on our two sunny mornings. All in all, it was a nice break from Marrakesh but don't go if you don't like walks and get bored quickly."

"L'endroit est fantastique. Les hôtes sont chaleureux et tellement attentionnés. La vue est spectaculaire. Nous avions deux galeries pour profiter de l'extérieur. Le lit est propre, très grand et confortable. Nous avons bien mangé. L'ambiance du souper, avec le feu de bois et les chandelles, est très féérique. Les déjeuners sont complets. Le seul petit soucis était que la douche avait du mal à s'égoutter. Nous avons été si charmés que souhaitons y retourner. bientôt. "

"- The location is out of the way,if you dont have a car there is absolutely nowhere to go which gives you a chance to relax & switch off entirely. -Scenery is stunning, the views of the snowcapped mountains are incredible and its totally silent apart from the sound of the birds so is super relaxing. -The hotel is decorated beautifully but it is a little rustic. This isnt a 5 star hotel with turndown service so please dont expect that. -Staff are lovely, super helpful & friendly. -The pool is gorgeous & the grounds are also lovingly taken care of but theres a few little things that would a stay even better...Some games or packs of cards being available would be nice. Dinner was served very early when we were there (due to ramadan) so it left us with a long evening before bed so to have the option to play a game would be nice and perhaps have a little background music on in the restaurant and common areas. -The main thing that would stop us coming back though is the price of food. Whilst the food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious it was quite expensive, coming from the UK we found it more expensive than back home. Again, what would be a nice idea would be to maybe have an honesty 'bar' where you could buy drinks/snacks in the evening when staff have left as once dinner is over there is nothing to eat or drink unless you bring it with you. If you want wine BYO! -Overall a great find and lovely stay. Just room for a few tweaks to make it fabulous (in my opinion!)"
