The staff service was exceptional at this hotel, the friendly and attentiveness of the employees really made this a wonderful break away. The room was ideal in a pet friendly room it was not luxurious but adequate and suited our visit. The food was wonderful and we felt treated from arriving to departure. I would recommend this hotel it can not be faltering delivery.

Absolutely lovely stay! The room was very nice and had everything we needed, there was plenty of tea/coffee and hot chocolate which was good! The garden and surroundings were beautiful and the breakfast was amazing!!!

We found this hotel on the off chance and so glad we did. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and tidy.

Only stayed for one night on way home, wished was longer. Fabulous hotel in a lovely setting that would be a perfect base for local attractions. Staff very friendly and helpful, room great with gorgeous view and breakfast excellent. Arrived late but squeezed in a drink at bar...food menu looked good.

This is truly a wonderful hotel to stay I've stayed in hundreds of hotels This is in my top 3 to stay in If I'm ever working in Sheffield area again. I'll have no hesitation in booking this wonderful hotel The food is so well presented and taste delicious. Very clean and well kept property. Friendly and helpful staff. Our dog stayed with us at no extra charge and the overall price was excellent value. As they do accommodate pets, it maybe an idea to have external litter bins. Apart from that our stay was great and we will be back.

We stayed just one night for a wedding close by ,the hotel was Lovely and the lady on reception was very helpful and kind , we found the room very pleasant with it's little sash window that we kept open as it was very warm , it was v , cosy and private no noise , all the nice little touches a nice bathroom all made for a lovely stay .

We booked a 2 night stay here to celebrate my wife's birthday , we wanted a relaxing weekend and the white horse seemed to offer what we were looking for . Right from check-in i realised we had definitely picked the right place . We received a warm and friendly welcome and were shown to our room . We picked a junior suit and there was nothing junior about it. We found it big , bright and offered everything we wanted . Very clean and well presented. Staff at the white horse are fantastic, ...

It was a good price and good location, easy to get to and leave from. It was also good that there was access to sky and bt sports in the room

Booked for a couple of nights while visiting alton towers and found the place superb value. Food in restaurant good and staff were very friendly and helpful. Also didn't add breakfast at the time of booking and when we asked to add for the 2 days when checking in the receptionist added for no extra charge. Would definitely and will be returning and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone else visiting the area.

Had a great overnight stay. Lovely room with view on golf course. Nice to have bath with separate shower. Reception team very kind and helpful as were the staff in Roosters restaurant and the breakfast room. I took advantage of the nearby included gym and pool (12 min drive or the hotel also has a free bookable shuttle). All in all I was very impressed.

Nice hotel! My room (724) was quite big, pretty comfortable - and quiet: I slept very well. The hotel felt (and smelled) very clean - you notice it as soon as you enter the spacious reception area. Encouraging. I had a meal in the bar area on Saturday evening. The food was fine though perhaps not wildly exciting. What impressed me was the charming young bar staff, who worked really hard. For instance, when there was a lull between customers, the young bar man got straight down to re-sanitising...
