"Awesome hotel and owner and staff. Right on the beach and the hotel restaurant was very nice. The room was amazing. You can walk to many other restaurants and shops all right there. Book your sunbrella and chairs as soon as able especially for the weekend. Good price and worth it. Close to the ferry too. Stay here you’ll be glad you did. We’ll be back. Oh yes good for families too. One last thing the speaker English very well too."

"The stay was top the staff starting with afrodite to katerina and a hugebroom upgrade to beautiful amenities and help all the way made the stay unforgettable. "Overall, we had a wonderful stay. It was a very nice property, very well located. The hotel provides full access to the beach across the street and it also has a nice pool area. It is very family friendly. The restaurant has a very good menu and delicious food. There is also an excellent roof top area with a gorgeous view. We enjoyed meeting Maria at the roof bar. She was very helpful in suggesting sites to visit. Make sure to check your room charges. We were charged for another room’s meal. The staff was very quick in fixing the mistake once we pointed it out. We highly recommend New Aegli."

"Staff very friendly, food wonderful and a really nice ambience in the restaurant. Great addition of beach service for drinks and snacks. Stayed in a superior Seaview. Really nice room. Charge for sunbeds are 15 per day per pair, the beach towels could be better, but they did the job"
Hydra Beach Resort

"Mixed stay great setting, but not the right fit for us Overall we had a pleasant enough experience, but it ultimately didn’t fully match what we were looking for. The resort itself is in a beautiful location right on the water, with a nice private beach and plenty of sunbeds and seating options. The beach area was definitely a bonus. with views across to Hydra. The room was fine standard but entry door not much soundproofing. That said, the overall atmosphere felt very much geared towards families with young children. It was quite a busy resort, especially towards our final night when a large number of guests arrived, and at times it felt crowded and lively in a way that didn’t suit the kind of quiet couples escape we had in mind. The buffet was fine but nothing particularly memorable good enough for convenience, but not a standout aspect of the stay. While the hotel itself is well maintained and the staff were generally pleasant and professional, we personally didn’t feel it was the best match for us as a gay couple. At times we felt a little uncomfortable due to the general guest environment, not because of the hotel staff, but simply the mix and atmosphere of the resort. In fairness, we did spend a lot of our time exploring other nearby areas, which we really enjoyed, but that also highlighted that the resort itself wasn’t quite aligned with our travel style. Overall, a nice property in a beautiful setting, but more of a family focused resort."
