Nestled in the foothills of the Atlas Mountains, this Berber market town offers colourful souks and authentic tagine restaurants worth exploring. Trek through nearby valleys on a guided mule ride or visit the weekly Saturday market where locals sell handcrafted carpets and fresh produce.
It was a peaceful escape with stunning views of the Atlas mountains, friendly animals, cozy nature domes and specially the friendly staff.
The food was great too.
Only thing to consider is the commute from Marrakech. Booking a two way transfer ahead will help.

We had the most amazing stay at Les Jardines. The photos online don’t do this place justice. It’s a beautiful haven of tranquility set in a spectacular landscape with the call to prayer reasoning down the valley. We highly recommend a break here. On top of this the people were so kind and generous - we had a very special time that imprinted morroco in our hearts! Thank you.

I had a great stay at this riad. The guys running the place were really nice and very kindly told me not to worry when I had mistakenly taken my room key with me after my stay.
The riad is on top of a rather steep hill, which you can ride up to by donkey, though I had no issues getting there with a huge backpacker backpack.
The food was great and filling after a long day of hiking, and I imagine that the outdoor roof terrace would be unbelievable during the summer months to have breakfast...

this was such a special trip. Mr Abdul and his staff were spectacular, one of the memorable overnight trips of my life. In a short time, this small town left a huge impression on us

The welcome at this hotel is excellent, Ibrahim is a good bloke and very anxious that all his guests should be happy.
The food is very good and excellent value at 100 Dirhams for an evening meal. The room was a bit small (I had room 3 which is the smallest double, but it was ok for one) but nice and had a balcony with a stunning view. Cleanliness was excellent.
There are also fantastic views from the roof terrace, with a panoramic vista of the head of the Imlil valley.

Great experience.
The location is ideal if you’re heading up to Toubkal by main route.
The staff were absolutely wonderful. They were cheerful, extremely polite, and made me feel genuinely welcome the whole time. It really lifted the mood and made the stay special. They were also happy to prepare food for me - late, after dinner time - which was a big plus.
The room was comfortable with a clean, basic, private bathroom. Everything felt well looked after and relaxing after a day on the...
