"Rooms are very nice, maintained and clean. Breakfast was very good with good hours. Staff was friendly and helpful. I GREATLY appreciated them helping with a loaner bear spray available from a previous guest so I didn't have to purchase one since I can't take it back on the airplane with me. Many thanks!!!!"
"We loved it! Tents were under the trees and ours had parking at our tent, and the king bed was comfortable. Loved the reception tent with 24hr coffee and s’mores supplies every night. The cafe has great food! Would def stay again! The fresh air of sleeping outside, without any packing of gear ."
"We really enjoyed our two-night stay. The room was very spacious and had several thoughtful touches that made it feel comfortable and welcoming. The bathroom was well stocked with soft, thick towels and all the necessary amenities.
The room also included a small refrigerator, coffee maker, and kettle, which were very convenient. One of the highlights was the private balcony, furnished with a table and chairs, overlooking a beautiful running stream, a perfect place to relax.
Our room was on the third floor, and there was an elevator, making it easy to access. The reception desk was located at the back of a large gift shop, and there was also a grocery store on site, which was very handy.
There were several restaurants within a short walk. We tried Sunrise Pizza and really enjoyed it.
Overall, we had a wonderful two-night stay and would happily recommend this hotel. The only downside was that we felt the room rate was a little on the expensive side, but the comfort and location made for an enjoyable stay."
"Good stay in Essex on the way from Glacier National park at a quiet community of 40 people. Convenient stay on the way back from the East entrance of Glacier. Small rooms but clean and well maintained. The property wifi is very spotty and there's no cellphone signal there.
The owners also serve dinner at their restaurant next door, their Chinese food is quite good."
"The location of this place simply can't be beat. Paddle Ridge is located less than a mile from the entrance to Glacier National Park and most other places are 10-25 miles away. In fact, since we stayed there during the busy season, the line to enter the park actually backs up to the entrance to Paddle Ridge in the morning.
We stayed at the lodge and I will say the rooms, while perfectly clean, are about as basic as they come. I did feel like the place was a bit misrepresented online. It is advertised as having a bar and coffee shop/cafe. There is a bar area in the shared area upstairs, but it's not like a bar with a bartender or drinks you can purchase--just a space one would call a bar. Fine, I don't mind buying my own, but it was not what it sounded like. Same with the cafe/coffee shop: it's a Keurig coffee machine.
The Lodge has a full kitchen in the community area of the lodge, but it has no plates, bowls, silverware (plastic or otherwise), etc. The only amenities guests are allowed to use are the Keurig coffee machine, fridge, toaster and microwave. So, I'm not sure what the point of the kitchen is. Basically, it's the same amenities of your average hotel room, but inside full kitchen that you can't use.
Every employee we interacted with was super nice and the views from the lodge were divine every night. Each room has two Adirondack chairs outside the room and each night the guests hang outside their rooms to enjoy the sunset and scenery."
