"Abbey Hotel was magnificent!! The staff were helpful and kind and very attentive. The food and drinks were fabulous and the pool was great! It was a truly beautiful place and the 13th century Abbey ruins in the back was a phenomenal historic site!! So much to do on site, we didn't even wander out much! But when we did, the city center was close and convenient. Right by the train station, too!!"

"I had no option but the supreme/business room don’t was expensive. But as we have always enjoyed the convenience and great location we took it anyway. We were not disappointed but could not afford it frequently."

"Beautiful hotel Heads up that (to the best of my knowledge) there’s no public transportation (including cabs) in Ballinasloe. The train station is not walking distance"

"Nice hotel, with modern room upgrades. Fun to stay in a castle. Breakfast was excellent. Small issues: Arrived at 9 and kitchen was closed. Would prefer having a top sheet, not just comforter on bed."

"It's a decent place to stay. The staff is great. Just aging and so many little details in poor condition. And now this isn't the hotels fault per say but very noisy. Walls were paper thin and could hear other rooms talking and TV playing. Heater was on in my bathroom and the knob was broken so couldn't turn it off."
