"Great stay, good location, good breakfast "

"After the hustle and bustle of the city, Chapel of Barras was just what the Dr. ordered. I’m traveling for pleasure, but also to finish a book I’ve been putting off, and this was a perfect stop. It was peaceful, quiet, perfect for my early morning yoga—followed by a delightful and filling homemade breakfast—a couple hours walking, then plenty of uninterrupted time to put pen to paper. Michelle and David were especially lovely: 10/10 would recommen. "

"When you flush the toilet in bathroom it makes a horrible loud noise. Info on apartment states it has washer and dryer - it does not. It has a washer and a hanging rack. There was still food in fridge and cabinets, was only given 2 towels for 4 people. Beds are close to floor and are horrible. No roller paper in one of the bathrooms. I truly wanted to walk out. "

"We had a beautiful stay at Maryculter House in October 2025. Parking was convenient, staff was very friendly and the room was spacious and clean. We stayed 2 nights and had afternoon tea, dinner abd breakfast in the dinning area. All meals were top notch. We would stay here again."

"Absolutely loved this quirky castle. The owners was so friendly and welcoming. Very knowledgeable about the castles history and did a personal tour which I loved. His love for the property showed so much in this tour. Breakfast was delicious and left nothing to ask for. Would stay here again. No complaints. "

"Room was huge for Great Britain! Very clean and comfortable with plenty of space to move around. Parking was a little tight but we managed. After a long day of traveling, it felt like I had won the lottery! "

"Exceptional, warm, and lovely hosts in a delightful neighborhood with a cozy and comfortable room with a lovely view of Scottish sunsets and a yummy hot breakfast made to order. There's plenty to walk to in regards to dining, groceries and shopping, and just across the street is the local train station that get you to the city center and the train station in 8 minutes! "

"Lovely clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are spacious, modern and very clean. Beautiful walk-in shower, very accessible for disabled visitors. Would benefit from hand rail in shower. Food in restaurant excellent and plenty of free parking at hotel."

"All of the staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The breakfast was good and could be altered to suit different tastes. The bus service to get into town is a short walk from the hotel. It is not the best hotel and it is not the worst hotel by a long way but it suited us and we look forward to our next visit."
