Unique property

Staff at Palacio de Valderrabanos was great as they were very helpful even as we made our check-in an hour after new years. The property is amazing and with a very rich history, so very recommendable to stay. Parking was not that close and was not part of the hotel, but is understandable in such a historic landmark. Extremely recommended.

Great hotel & location

Hotel is very nice, clean and staff were helpful. Very conveniently placed right by the cathedral and city walls. We were given a room upgrade to a balcony room that was very nice. Overall a good place to stay and would definitely stay again.

Amazing location. The lobby was beautifully renovated. The room we staid in would benefit from the same. Decoration slightly outdated and some amenities such as coffee machine or kettle would bring extra value. Staff was super nice.

One of the two palacio hotels

Great location in the center. Very nice and helpful reception. Room was comfortable and quiet. Had to run the heat on full high to stay warm, though, on cold March nights. Was a bit disappointed to find a big remodeling project so none of the lovely public spaces were available.

We were not informed of renovations going on before our stay so a lot of noise during working hours and associated dust (lots of plaster work). Only place we stayed at during a month in Spain where coffee was not available in the room. A kettle would have been nice. Otherwise staff was friendly and could not beat the location (across from main cathedral and near eastern wall).

A bit disappointed

Very clean and perfect location but I’d expect a little more from a hotel at these prices. Our room was not ready, despite arriving forty minutes after check in time. I think we just didn’t get a great room to be honest. Maybe ask what room you’re getting as ours was a bit noisy, door wouldn’t lock properly and the bathroom had no heating and was freezing. An overpowering air freshener in the building left me with a bad headache. God I sound like the worst possible guest. Just disappointed though as we had splashed out.

Sneaky Business

These guys are shady & not helpful. They have signs everywhere advertising their breakfast, but nowhere on any of their signs does it say that it's not included in the price of the room. Very sneaky, and definitely not worth 13.5 Euro per person. Be upfront and let people make their own decisions - shadiness is never the answer. Also, their so-called AC is horrendous, non-functional, and the filters are disgusting. The front desk workers are not helpful. Will not be back to this hotel.

The hotel is located in a very good location, next to the cathedral, the rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff is helpful and friendly, and the breakfast, buffet style, is very good ... and despite everything I would not recommend this hotel for a rather annoying detail: the noise of the plumbing. When a bathroom faucet is opened in another room, you hear the plumbing as if you had a loudspeaker in the room, which makes the stay not very pleasant if what you want to do in the room is to rest. It is not a normal plumbing noise, but a really loud and irritating noise. In addition, the ammenities do not correspond to a hotel of this category. For example, in the bathroom I am used to find gel, shampoo and hair conditioner, and in this hotel they only have a shower gel “all in one”. And although the room was a double room for two people, there were only ammenities for one person (only one toothbrush, only one shower cap,...).
