" Great island, water villa spot on. Foo outstanding and cleaners and waiters/chefs and bar staff amazing. Reception staff need more training to ensure the same consistent friendly experience as they did not look comfortable dealing with guests and slow support. Would revisit however resort management need to urgently change health and safety warrior their maintenance staff. Such low standards exhibited working with electric equipment in water under the spa, no risk mitigation which is not...

"We had a wonderful stay at The Standard, Maldives. The island is beautiful, the water is stunning, and the atmosphere is relaxed but still very special. "Stunning location, attentive staff who just avoid in going too far. Excellently maintained facilities and as a vegan, the range of choice of food was exceptional. Room was beautiful (though I caught my foot on an ill-maintained wood plank by my pool causing a large splinter). So much about our trip was absolutely perfect. Highly recommended "
