"Great location, and the staff at Hotel California made the stay easier by letting us check our luggage until the afternoon check in time for Hamsa House. The suggestions for breakfast and help ordering our taxi to the airport was appreciated. Having someone meet us at 5:30 AM to help get our luggage to Hotel California that morning was exceptional.
The side tables next to the bed were unfinished logs. The log on one side had a large hole on top, When my husband put his hearing aids on top he didn't realize one had fallen into the hole. The only way to reach it was to turn the log upside down which was difficult because it was extremely heavy. A top plate of glass or sealing the holes would of been more appropriate for a end table next to the bed.
The other disappointment was that the access to the rooftop was not available as mentioned as a wonderful attraction to this property.
When I made the reservation I was not aware that this was not a hotel, and could not be reached by any automobiles. I think this should have been disclosed before the reservation was made. I did not understand that "a person may not always be available to check in" was code for never available and all check in was provided by the Hotel California about a block away."
