"What a gorgeous property and very pleasant stay! Thank you to the entire team for the immaculate, unique setting. We felt welcomed the moment we arrived, enjoyed the sunrise from the huge windows overlooking the water, and the delicious continental breakfast. The location overlooks a lovely beach and walking path and we enjoyed the serenity and delicious dining in South Portland as well as the convenience to Old Port. "Easy and friendly check in. Took my corgi Cosmo and he was over the moon to greet the staff. Hotel Parking was full when I arrived but they gave me a few other options and one was MUCH cheaper. "

"The places charges $10 for parking. The lot is huge but I would think it’s just to make a little bit of extra money on their guest. The blankets were dirty and had stains. Also the pillows are tiny and are similar to couch pillows. I’ve stayed here 3 times in the past and I think ownership changed or management changed. Will not be coming back."

"Breakfast was great but opens at 6:30 vs other hotels at 6. 6 am would be a lot better for us. We saw lots of people already lined up at 6:15 waiting."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our 4-night stay at The Docent's Collection. The staff was outstanding (shout-out to Spencer and Sarah!). The apartment we stayed in was roomy, impeccably clean, and well-furnished. We had everything we needed for our stay. Security was great, parking was easy, and right next to a police parking lot, so very secure. We look forward to staying here again!"

"Clean, beautiful room with a vintage feel. Great staff, very attentive. If you have a show to go to they offer a car service to take you there. It’s a 5 minute walk to the theater though so that was nice. Tandem bakery is right next door. You have to get coffee and pastries. Make sure to get a loaded biscuit. "
