"We had a warm welcome from all the innkeepers to this historic place, which reflects its moment in Philadelphia's long history. If you like quaint, you'll love this place! And, it needs some freshening up and updating -- the furnishings, though of the period, feel dated and a bit worn. Even some good Scandinavian room freshener and a more minimalist and modern decor would help, as would an upgraded breakfast, which was not far from something you get at a chain motel. "Beautiful, large room wtih tasteful, thoughtfully-selected furniture and amenities. Location was excellent for visiting the historic landmarks. Media system in room was problematic and did not work over the 5-night visit. Efforts to fix it were unsuccessful."

"I loved this place and I loved the management team. The one thing that should be known. Street noise is a real thing. One could hear every car, every conversation and every horn from the street. I think the windows are single pane. Be aware it is loud. I wasn’t in the loft a lot during the day as I was doing the Revolutionary places. It quieted later in the evening. But it’s a great location."
