"The hotel appears to have been recently renovated but still has an older floorplan. Didn't have time to use the amenities but it was nice to know they were there if we had the time. This property is a bit out of the way from Roanoke but seemed like a nice area. There weren't any views from our room (on the back side of the hotel). We did have a couple of issues in that the sink would not drain, the air conditioner leaked, and the deadbolt on the door did not work. I texted the desk, as they asked me to, and hoped they would have the items fixed the next day. Someone did attend to the sink and got it to drain but the air conditioner continued to leak for another day before it was resolved. As far as I could tell, the deadbolt was not fixed...but it wasn't that I did not feel safe as there were other devices to secure the door. We really enjoyed the tv space with a couch and chair that was separate from the bedroom...made for a nice place to eat a bit of dinner and watch a bit of tv to wind down before bed without having to take the food into the bed! The room was very clean as well as nice and cool when we arrived. The shower had great pressure and the bathroom even had a fan! Good stay!"

"Property location was great for our Hollins University visit. Initially property looks pretty new but upon closer observance you can really tell it was an old property that has been refreshed. Room was nice and big...great mattress and bedding...bathroom was clean...and wonderful thick towels... but tub itself was really dated and difficulty with turning off water in shower. Minimal breakfast...small breakfast area. This property appears to be Hilton's economy hotel. All is all it suited our needs."

"This hotel is the least expensive and closest to SML. There are many other places around the lake but none are as inexpensive as the Days Inn Bedford. My room was very clean and comfortable and the outdoor pooI is open during the summer. We stayed Friday and Saturday nites and heard no outside noise at all. This property has Direct TV with a large package of channels that includes movie channels. As of Sept 2026, they are remodeling. Still open though and rates are unbeatable."
