"Great stay at Chateau Guetsch. We loved the view overlooking Lucerne -- very accessible with the funicular. Easy to get to train station with bus, though we often walked. Room was spacious, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Loved our deck. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great."

"The hotel was good, clean, well maintained and the staff were very helpful. Ideally located with the tram stops of Letzigrund and Albisriederplatz only a short walk away with the Migros convenience store also handily nearby. We opted for the breakfast buffet which was excellent and the hotel also has a restaurant which after we got over the shock of the prices in Zurich, became our go to for dinner with a good menu and attentive staff who looked after us very well. We did have a problem with the toilet in our room which kept running after it had been flushed but after reporting it to reception it was promptly fixed and wasn't really a huge problem. Upon check-in, the front desk deducted a 50 CHF security fee per night which I was refunded when checking out and it might be worthwhile to bear that in mind if you are travelling on a budget. Overall the Crowne Plaza is an excellent hotel, in a quiet area of Zurich and I would have no hesitation in staying there again."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this central, quirky and friendly hotel. It is a relatively short walk from the rail station and, likewise, from the central tourist zones. Given the fact that Zurich is an expensive city, the hotel was good value. The breakfast was perfectly adequate - the drinks were excellent, the food fresh and tasty."

"a beautiful building but only two sets of steps into the hotel lobby which with 2 x 20kg cases and 2 x 10kg back packs not the easiest to get up but thankfully they are short. reception staff super helpful and friendly giving us an early check in. nothing was a hassle for them during our stay. disappointed the room had no fridge and no kettle tea/coffee. i asked for 2 cups of hot water from the bar and carried them up to my room. breakfast is very busy and a small area. a lot of items gone by 9am. but everything tasty and fresh. no hot food only cold cuts cheese pastries etc. location is a little bit isolated but there is a tram and train station not far away and the lake is fairly close. the train station can be walked in about 15mins. save yourself the rip off taxi prices and being stuck in traffic and at lights. thank me later."
