This property was very clean, the staff friendly. Breakfast options were very good. Well-ventilated, no cigarette smoke at all (last place I stayed, the odor of cigarette smoke permeated the building). So glad it was very pleasant place to stay. Definitely coming back in the future!

Exceptionally clean 2-star motel with friendly staff. The building and rooms are dated and lack a few modern amenities like USB ports, but everything is clean and functional. Our room had 3 chairs, a table, desk, mini-fridge, microwave, and small drip coffee machine (with small disposable cups). The “continental breakfast” buffet was small with limited selection, but everything was kept stocked, and it more than met our needs and expectations. But bring a tray (under the coffee machine in your room) to the buffet so you can easily bring food back to your room; there is little room to eat in the tight buffet area (1 or 2 small tables), but there is plenty of room to relax and eat in your room. Bay City Motor Inn is a great deal for a low price!

Disappointed the past couple times. While it certainly is a budget motel, it was not too bad for a reasonable priced stay. The last two times we have had loud rooms by an entrance and found bathrooms in need of a good detailing. It’s run down, not pretty but now it feels a bit dirty unfortunately.

We've stayed in this hotel many times, and it is a great value. We really only need a place to sleep when we're in Bellingham (we have a college student at WWU), and we appreciate the clean rooms, well-maintained building and parking lots, friendly hosts, comfortable beds. They also serve a light breakfast, and keep the breakfast frig stocked and the coffee pot on for the whole duration of breakfast. It's conveniently located by Hwy 5, WWU, good restaurants and pretty much all of B-ham. Highly recommended!

All was great. The breakfast area needs more tables. There is only 1 so people have to take their food to their rooms which isn’t ideal for sanitation & the cleaners.

I won’t ever stay here again. It is what I think a half-way house is like. No visitors after 10pm, no pets. I called about early check in and they were completely rude. I asked for a later check out and they said they will be fully booked which is a clear lie. I will not ever stay here again.
