"Great property. Big room with comfortable bed and AC. Views from the restaurant and rooms are very beautiful.Staff is top-notch and friendly. Breakfast is great- comes with pastries, fresh squeezed oj, yogurt, granola etc AND a huge selection of hot meals. Pretty close to the action."

"In my opinion… this was not a 5 star hotel. The location and the view are spectacular and breathtaking. I enjoyed my stay. From my experience there are a number of things they could do to improve. 1. Be more clear about the climb to the villa. It is 14 switchback turns. You climb over 100 feet with luggage. 2. It was not clear in anyway that they would help you up with luggage. 3.there are no signs for villa Lia at via touro 11. There are no signs at the top if you should turn left or right. 4. It is not obvious at night that there are light switches for the climb. 5. I had no hot water the first day. It was not fixed that night. It was in the morning. There was no offer of accommodation or service recovery. I saw the manager the next morning. She did not check on me. 6. Staff who greeted me tried to have me pay 100 euro for “suite”. No explanation of what that gave me or offer to see room. If they have an empty suite, why not just upgrade me??? No sense of what 5 star should mean. 7. Waiter at lunch could barely open a bottle of wine. Cork broke for no reason. Young. New staff. Polite..but again… 5 star property should train staff. 8. Also wine ordered at 40 euro was not available. Offered others , price was 60 and we were not told. 9. No luggage rack in room 10. WiFi was poor in room. They accommodated w staff wifi password. Again the property is GORGEOUS. The staff did all they could, I just think there is a lot mgmt could do to make it actual 5 Star. "

"Beautiful location with an amazing outdoor living space . 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Kitchen fully stocked and air conditioning . A little far to walk from town center like 10 mins downhill from funicular …means 10 mins up to get back to top but we didn’t mind because we ate so much we needed the steps. Not steps but gradual inclines and alleyways . Felt secure and great host , very helpful and responsive for checkin ."

"This iconic hotel in Capri is the best. A lot of people like the Quisisana but to me there is no comparison. The Punta Tragara is located just a beautiful walk outside of the main plaza so you don’t get the day tripper noise and foot traffic. The staff is thoughtful, courteous, and all speak great English (sadly I don’t speak Italian!) The two swimming pools, photographed by Slim Aarons back in the day, are beautiful. Both restaurants (the Grill by the pool and the Michelin starred Le Monzu) are super. The rooms and amenities are gorgeous and offer several price points that, while expensive, are truly worth it. In a way, the star of the property is the wrap-around view of the Faraglioni rocks and surrounding cliffs. Overall, a great experience."
