The Shamrock is a very old hotel, and it is showing its age. The room was ok, and bathroom nice, but the reception and general feel is of faded glory. Very centrally located, and easy walk to most places of interest.

Wonderful historic building right in the centre of Bendigo. Easy walking to dining options, cafes and many of Bendigo’s great tourist attractions.

The architecture of the building is beautiful. The room was large. The bathroom was disappointing considering the grandeur of the building. I get the old style furniture was fitting for the rooms but the couch and chairs were tired - they need refreshing or reupholstering. For the cost of the room I expected a higher quality of furniture and fittings.

All the staff were most helpful and polite. the service was quick and efficient. The only slight problem was someone in a nearby room had the aircon on nearly all night and it caused a dull noise that could be heard in my room.
