The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We loved the fact that it had a fridge and two fans. The bath is a little small and the shower not very comfortable, but the size of the room makes up for a small bath. The area is not the best, but the convenience of the tram a block away is great. The staff was very nice and welcoming. The only thing we did not like was that the breakfast was not great, not a lot to choose from.
I travelled alone and felt safe which was key for me. The property and room was clean. Staff was great. Would definitely stay here again when I’m back in Bern.
This is a place to sleep, nothing more. The price was rather high for very basic accommodations, and the ventilation is insufficient for summer or summer-adjacent timeframe (was 15F above normal when we visited in Sept). A few of the lights didn't work and the shower drain was slow. No sheets for foldout couch. Neighborhood safe.
A real surprise in quiet area. Only probs were no ac, too few english stations and smoking area below windows that you have to have open because no ac. Also bad curtains. Just a gauze sheet. They have a screen but it isnt solid. Could use a wall safe and mini fridge.
Just a brief visit to Bern but the hotel was in a good position 15/20 mins from hospital and train station . Nice room good shower and cooling fan comfy bed helpful welcoming staff . A good indian restaurant almost next door and a nice breakfast
Very nice hotel for the price. Upgrade to include the breakfast. It is has a good variety of food that is very fresh. Good location close to tram stop.
The staff at Hotel La Pergola went the extra mile to be helpful and accomodating at all times. The hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood close to the town centre and within a short walk of the station. My room was comfortable and clean. I much appreciated the free communal tea and coffee making facilities on each floor too. Definitely recommended.

Hotel in a nice residential area. Tram stop outside the hotel but only 10 minute walk into the old town. Room very modern and clean. Would benefit from a kettle in the room, although free tea and coffee making facilities on the first floor.
Bern was a fantastic base to visit all the places in Switzerland I had missed on other trips. The train will take you almost anywhere in the country within 2 hours. La Pergola is an oasis, minutes from the main railway station, clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staff.
This hotel had exceptional service! Felix the receptionist went above and beyond to make my stay the best! It is located in downtown Bern so accessible to many places.
Properly nice and clean, with spacious room. Good area close to the station. Staff very friendly, the gentleman on reception was very helpful helping sort out our travel pass. Breakfast has a good selection.
Would definitely recommend.
Our room was upgraded to a one with a sitting area. The bus stop is across the street. Great location. They include a Transit pass which is great. Very happy.
Very attentive staff! I was provided a free tram/bus pass for the first day. I was also upgraded to a larger room for free. Room was clean and nice - a good value for the price.
Breakfast was lovely, quiet area with good public transport connections als get a free transport pass from the hotel which was nice.
Guy on the front desk was a little bit uninterested tho didnt see a smile or happy comment.
The property is conveniently located in a quiet area. The price is very reasonable and the staff is great. I like the breakfast in the bright dining room. I’ve stayed at the hotel at least five times so it’s my go to place when I’m in Bern on my own dime!
It is very conveniently located in a quiet area and easily walkable from the Bern train station, shopping and tourist sites.
This was my second stay at La Pergola. The rooms I stayed in were small, but spotless.
It would be great if there were USB plugs in the room to charge mobile devices. I brought my own.
It is a modest, but very clean hotel. The room size is on a smaller scale, but adequate. The room is clean. There’s no AC. It was not problem for me, as it got colder in Bern when I was there. An excellent breakfast is served with great Swiss cheeses and cold cuts. Excellent coffee! Also all kinds of cereal and fruit.
Very clean room in a great location. Would stay there again.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disappointing
We arrived by car late at night and the hotel had failed to inform us parking needs to be booked in advance. Was forced to park on street and wake up early to move the car. There was a large bug in my colleague’s bed, and the rooms were very hot.

Dear Lauren, thank you for taking the time to write a feedback. You did the reservation a couple of hours before you arrived and unfortunately our parkings were already all reserved by then. Sorry for the inconvenience, but after the lockdown everyone is travelling by car.
My stay here was decent - my room was clean and comfortable and the staff was accommodating. The amenities themselves are pretty bare though. I reserved a room for one person and the hotel literally provided one pillow and one towel. This was not a cheap hotel, so I was surprised they provided so little. It would also be very appreciated to have some instant coffee or tea in the room. Overall the hotel is in a nice but very quiet area of Bern - very little food options and about a 15-minute walk to the train station.
Large windows lacked light-blocking curtains, so don't stay here if you want to sleep in. The hotel is nicely located, and the staff was wonderful, but the lack or privacy from the thin, gauzy curtains was shocking.
Also, the drain in the shower couldn't keep up with the water flow, so I was ankle-deep at the end of a short shower.
