"Overall, this is one of the better hotels I have stayed at in Addis Ababa. The staff are excellent, the hotel is clean, the rooms are spacious, and breakfast offers a good variety of choices. However, there are a few areas that need attention to bring the hotel up to the standard its other facilities and services suggest.
The parking garage is quite tight, making it difficult to enter and exit comfortably. Improving the accessibility and maneuverability of the parking area would be helpful. There was an unpleasant smell coming from the shower at the beginning of each use. It seemed to be related to the plumbing, possibly connected to the toilet drainage system. I had to run the water for several minutes before the smell subsided. The staff kindly offered to change my room, which I appreciated. However, after speaking with another guest who was experiencing the same issue, I declined the offer, as it appeared to be a more general plumbing problem rather than an issue specific to my room. I recommend that the hotel investigate and address the underlying cause. There is very little space in the bathroom to place toiletries and personal items. The gap between the washbasin and the wall could be used more effectively by installing a small shelf or a simple wooden or plastic platform. The spa and sauna facilities seem to have been treated as an afterthought and are not maintained or managed to the standard expected of the hotel. The shower area is poorly maintained,"
"The airport transfer worked fairly well, it wasn’t waiting for me on arrival but a quick phone call and it turned up. It was waiting at the set time to return to the airport.
I was able to check in a little early which was nice/appreciated and I think the hotel is in a good location for a couple of nights in Addis."
"I really enjoyed my stay at Pyramid Hotel and Resort. The views are stunning, staff are exceptional and gracious. Massage is included in the stay which was lovely as well as a buffet breakfast. I removed one star as there was only hot water for shower one out of four nights."
"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bonanza Hotel has a very strategic location, close to the airport, coffee shops, and restaurants. The price is very reasonable for the location, the staff are incredibly helpful and welcoming, and the breakfast was amazing. The only downside for me was the noise at night, as they play loud music that made it challenging to fall asleep. Loud music is fairly common in Ethiopia, but it can be difficult if you’re looking for a very quiet stay. Other than that, it’s a great place with a convenient location, reasonable prices, delicious breakfast, and very helpful staff. I would definitely recommend it!"
"I didn’t get to stay long since it was a short visit,The room was spotless, but a little outdated. The bathroom lacked some amenities, and the curtains are a bit weird, you can see from outside, so we had to use a chair to cover it. It just needs a little renovation.
