"One of the noisiest hotels we have ever stayed at. Music playing till well past midnight, dogs barking all night, the staff was sitting outside our room talking and playing videos on their phone very late. Construction of a new hotel just next to us which started work at 07:00, the staff was also brushing and cleaning outside from very early hours, and the room has no soundproofing, it was getting comical just how much noice could come from one place at one point. "We were given an upgrade...very thankful for the huge room. Great air conditioning unit..plus fans. Staff were all happy and helpful. A special thank you to Isuru from the Rooftop Restaurant and Bar. He helped me choose the right Sri Lankan option at breakfast...it was fantastic and a lot of food...all superbly cooked by the chefs. "I was very unhappy with this accommodation, which we paid £200 per night. On arrival the hotel staff and checking was very nice, our room was on the fourth floor via the lift and very, very steep stairs to the room. The bathroom was awful totally open to the outside world view with plastic curtain which kept blowing around in the wind, when you were trying to take a shower.
