"We had a wonderful stay! The innkeepers were so friendly and helpful. It was fun to learn the history of the house, especially since the were so into the history. Donnie is an excellent chef and made a wonderful breakfast for us. We were only there for one night since we were visiting our son and he only had one day off. We would definitely recommend as a place to stay for one night, or much longer. Charles Town was a cool place to visit and there are several towns around with fun downtown...

"The food was excellent, and the staff was friendly and helpful. There was even live music in the restaurant! I was a little disappointed on arrival that we were in the third building and not the main building, as nothing indicated that would be the case when I made the booking. The room was clean and comfortable, but some of the public areas had sticky surfaces and low water pressure in the rest rooms. Not bad for the price!"

"The rooms are just gorgeous. The beds are comfortable and the whole atmosphere is great there. We enjoyed the large hot tub several times throughout the day and night, while taking in the beautiful views and birdwatching. We really enjoyed the private, screened balcony as well. Every part of the property was enjoyable and the staff are top notch. The breakfast was phenomenal!! Tina is an awesome innkeeper! She made us feel so comfortable and right at home. This really has become our new favorite...

"Everything was very good about the property. Excellent bed and shower. It would have been a 5 star property with a few improvements. The breakfast was very bland and overcooked. The workout room didn’t have towels and the staff were smoking near the entrances to the pool. Very disgusting."

"Unfortunately, our room smelled like an ashtray & I'd asked for a non-smoking room. The was no shower curtain, There was hair from the previous people all over the bedspread and shower. The hairdryer did not work. The towels were stained & frayed. There were people that seemed to be junkies arguing during the evening a few rooms away. Not an ideal stay."

"This was an excellent stay despite of the fact I have a mobility problem and our room was 40+ steps above. Unique place and the people I met there were friendly and kind. If you're lucky enough to run into JeanMarie outside weeding, make sure you ask her questions about this area, she's local and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Our 2nd luck was seeing Chef Kashiff. Never expected that level of frienliness - we were beyond charmed by his story. Don't forget to make the 3 course dinner...

"The temperature in the room was set up at 73° and the thermostat was locked. The attendant did not want to unlock it, and I had to demand the owner of the property to be called at which time the key for the box was found, and I was allowed to adjust the temperature in the room."
