Short & sweet stay at Fossatún Country Hotel. I really liked my accommodations, perfect for what I needed for a one night’s stay at the hotel. Plus, breakfast was delicious. It is quite a bit far from the town of Borgarnes though, so make sure you pickup your food/snacks before venturing out.

The physical geography of the area is so beautiful and we had a nice view of the falls from our self-contained room. The troll stroll is quite the unique feature of the property and we had the best burger in a long time at the restaurant. The rooms are a bit sparse but overall we had a great time and would recommend to those travelling the ring road around Iceland.

A unique property with friendly personnel. On the road to Borgarnes if coming or going north. The Troll cafe and walk are both enjoyable. We used the hot tubs but not the communal kitchen.

The cabins were very comfortable and had fast WiFi. The day was rather cold so the central heating was a bonus. The troll walk and waterfalls made the stay fun and the food in the restaurant was excellent and well priced. I can recommend the beer. Check in was easy and the staff very pleasant. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Clean room and shower, nice breakfast. The area around the hotel is very pretty, there are trials to walk and a small waterfall. Overall a good stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The owner and staff were especially friendly and helpful! After a long day of sightseeing, we appreciated the multiple hot tubs and delicious meal options. Staff were very kind and accomodating. Room was comfirtable and clean. Loved the heated floors ;) also, geeat views surroubding tge property! Highly recommend!

We chose this hotel for its location, in the middle of nowhere, to see the Northern Lights and we achieved our goal, we just walked behind our room and it was dark enough to enjoy the lights. The hotel is surrounded by nature, there is a nice waterfall that you can enjoy from the restaurant of the hotel and a trail. Close by there are more waterfalls, all of them beautiful.

Room was very comfortable and the area was quite nice. Staff were helpful for the hotel itself but the restaurant service was very poor. Also some broken amenities (laundry) while I was there.
