Charming guesthouse
Englendingavík is a small guesthouse on top of a restaurant, but it wasn't noisy at all. The room was cozy and clean, we had a private shower and a kettle. The kitchen was great, but you had to walk outside a bit to get there.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and cozy. The only disappointments were that the hot tub was drained and the restaurant was not open. I’m not sure if this is standard in the winter or just due to covid.

Historic Charm
While this is a historic house, the room was very well kept. It was very cute and clean. The hotel is on the same property as a restaurant that was also delicious. The historic charm of the building was so fun to be in and the town has a great local pub.

Good choice for a short stay
This is a well located property with a well-regarded restaurant on site. The rest of sights are within walking distance as well. The check in was done at a restaurant and was easy although the staff did not seem very welcoming. The room itself was recently renovated, clean but would benefit from better quality beds.

Small room, small beds no black out curtains or blinds, very difficult to sleep. Water smelled like sulfur. Restaurant closed for both dinner and breakfast. Had to scramble to find a place to eat. Skip this place

I am sorry you feel this wey but becorse of corona the restaurant has been closed during the week ,, i hope you get used to hotspring water in iceland . There is around 4 places in Borgarnes that serve breakfast and dinner other then our restaurant. Our homestey,, guesthouse is not a hotel

Loved our stay here and the staff was amazing. If you'd like a laugh and some great social interaction head down for a delicous dinner and a drink. Or take a walk on the coastline and enjoy the amaxing views. Loved our time here.

Cozy rooms right on the water.
We loved the cozy room and the location couldn't be beat right near a park and an easy walk to the town pool. The restaurant had the best fish buffet we had in Iceland and was really beautiful. The fellow guests were fun to meet and the shared kitchen was well supplied and comfortable.

Compared to the other accommodations we experienced this one wasn't at all good. We arrived at a proper check-in time yet the only person to speak with was the restaurant (she told us our room number for the "small room in the old house"). The small room is VERY small and not workable for 2 people/some luggage. The old house is very creaky and poorly ventilated/heated. All the images had looked great! Very limited kitchen or bathroom facilities (eg. no bathmat, pasta drainer, coffee mugs, etc.) Wifi is very limited to the entrance way. Another guest complained formally and someone (owner/manager?) came and tried to sort us out a bit as the place was only partially booked (which is good as minimal common areas). Not inexpensive yet not at all good. Beautiful looking restaurant and front/ocean so maybe that is what they are charging for. (our breakfast was not included). Fortunately it was only 1 night.

Litet och mysigt. Jättefina rum med bra sängar, fint litet kök och soffrum. Rent och trevligt inrett. Rena och fina toaletter och duschar. Ligger precis vid vattnet och vi satt ute och åt vilket var fint. Ingen personal på plats, vi hämtade nyckeln i restaurangen bredvid. Köket okej utrustat, rent och fint. Enda minus var att hot tub inte är fungerande som det stod på hemsidan. Slitet hus på utsidan men fint på insidan! Vi är mycket nöjda!

Run down, but OK. Beds are good!
It's a homestay. You get a room and share baths/shower, kitchen and living room with other guests. No lift, as said in the info, but didn't expect the staircase to upstairs to be so steep! Old house turned into guesthouse/homestay. Quite run down, including most of the equipment in the kitchen. Only used the fridge as dishes was cleaned by hand by those who rented rooms. Wifi did not work. We did not try the whirlpool and did not eat at the restaurant. Nice views and easy access to the town and ocean on foot. Beds were good! Might stay again if I got a room on the ground floor. It's a good alternative for those who don't mind it being an old rather run down house in need of refurbishing, and who are fit to climb steep stairs. Definitely not the place for people who are walking impared. The staff was nice!

Bij aankomst rees een probleem. Er was wel een reservering op onze naam maar kennelijk geen kamer. Na enige tijd werd ons een upgrade aangeboden. De mooise kaner met kitchenette. Erb mooi.
