"We just spent three nights at Hotel La Colina in Gijon, Spain. I have to say it’s been the highlight of our European trip. The location is secluded outside of town, but you can get into town in 10 minutes. We ate breakfast in the cafeteria every morning and the food and service were wonderful. The rooms were great, the views are fantastic, along with the hiking paths and best of all the staff were some of the friendliest people we’ve met on our trip. Highly recommended, and we will be back."

"The hotel itself is absolutely fabulous, with a mountain view that looks as if it has been plucked straight from a painting. The cleanliness is superb and I am talking about the entire hotel. I couldn't ask for more in terms of maintaining such pristine conditions. The SPA area is absolutely clean and well-maintained. It's a pleasure to see such attention to detail in keeping the place spotless and inviting. What's more, I appreciate that the spa is never crowded and always maintains a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. It truly enhances the overall experience, making it a perfect spot to unwind and relax. The breakfast provided was incredibly delicious, with an extensive variety to choose from. What's more, you can order as much as you want, which adds to the overall indulgent experience. The staff are incredibly friendly, approachable, and accommodating. Despite the language barrier, as we do not speak Spanish, there was always someone available who could communicate in English. This made our interactions much smoother and more enjoyable. "This property was a monastery. It’s renovated. You can see the details of the building, the manager explained the history of the buildings. That staff are very nice and go beyond to help you in everything. They have great choice for eating, the patio is a wonderful place to have a cup of wine, read, chat or the like.
