"Stayed for one night with my boyfriend as a stopover between Sutherland and Cape Town, and honestly wish we’d booked two. Despite booking very last minute, Evelyn made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived with a glass of champagne. The property is beautifully curated; every piece of furniture and decor feels intentional, giving the whole place a boutique, high-end atmosphere. "Our room was lovely and clean. The staff was fabulous. Note dear traveler:the Airlies Lodge was not open when we arrived and we banged on the door to no avail. A passerby pointed out that the Monta Villa had taken the property over and was accessible around the corner. Wish Airlies had a sign to that effect. So once we figured it all out, it went well."
