Worst Shower in Romania

We thought we'd book a cheap hotel near the airport for our last night in Romania. We would have been better off just sleeping at the airport. The bed was as hard as a rock, and the pillows were basically just wishes covered in pillowcases. The bathroom was the absolute worst. The toilet flushed twice before it stopped flushing altogether. We reported it to the front desk, and they said they'd fix it. But it seems that someone just came into the room to manually fill the tank back up with water because after two more flushes, it stopped working again. The water coming from the sink had a very foul odor. But the piece de resistance was the shower. I turned on the water and let it run for about 30 seconds, waiting for it to warm. It didn't. "No problem," I thought. "I'll just hop in, take a quick cold shower, and get out." After about a minute, the water went from cold to scalding hot. I tried to adjust the temperature, but the water would not cool. It was the most painful shower I've ever had, and the hot water left marks on my back. My husband waited about 15 minutes and hopped in for his shower. The water was still scalding hot, and after he had lathered up, the water just cut off completely. Over the next 20 minutes, it would come out in squirts and spurts for a few seconds at a time. Everything in the room was dirty and worn, and between the constantly crowing rooster and barking dogs outside, neither of us got much sleep.

In need of the refurb it's soon getting!

Hotel is apparently closing in two weeks time for a much needed refurbishment. Staff were lovely - nothing was too much trouble. Location is close to the airport as we had an early flight to catch, but due to road works our taxi struggled to find the hotel and his SatNav kept trying to take him the wrong way - cost us an extra 10Lei!! Hotel shuttle worked fine though. Room was very tired and old-fashioned, but beds were comfortable and plumbing worked ok. Noisy cockerel outside our window, which wouldn't shut up all night. Wifi worked great.

Best staff of any hotel I have stayed. Rooms are basic for an airport hotel. The staff though, they make the stay. Fantastic people that really care about their jobs

Veldig bra med free airport shuttle

Praktisk med hotell nær flyplassen med airport Shuttle. Veldig hyggelig betjening og svært hjelpsomme. Hentet oss når vi skulle levere leiebilen.

Regarding Free airport Shuttle

If anyone Expecting Free airport shuttle , then you need to call Hotel to book the Free airport shuttle for pick up , because no routine pick-up service like other airports in USA or UK .. For airport drop , no issues they are available right-away at service

Good value and service

A good, solid hotel near the airport. I was able to arrange transport from the airport (free), and the staff at the hotel were kind and helpful. The water pressure was fine. I was able to hear the people in the next room laughing and carrying on, but after a while they quieted down. Good sleep and a fine value.

Handy little airport hotel

There was free pick-up and drop-off to the airport, which was good because it's not as close to the airport as all that - 10 minutes in the car. The drivers didn't speak much English but desk staff had good English. Room was clean and spacious, with shampoo provided, and a handy mini bar with reasonably priced water (amongst other things). Breakfast was self service, and included hot and cold food and coffee from a machine - what you would expect, really. I was left to myself, which is how I like it in the morning. I would stay here again.
