"The Jamaica Palace is, perhaps, one of the best in Port Antonio. Impressive when one drives in, but where were the peacocks of old we had heard about? The rooms are HUGE and comfortable - more like a very large studio apartment. But while we were told upon booking that each room could sleep three, what that means is two adults and a child. With five adults, our two-room reservation was inadequate - their two adults to a room policy is mandatory, which is a little ridiculous in rooms of that...

"The home was authentic Jamaican, gated and secure. I arrived late in the day with an emerging dental emergency. The next morning this required immediate attention. The Hostess Tamara walked with me to a nearby Dental Centre to be successfully treated. As I returned and departed for the International Airport, the host Shane taxied me to the airport for a flat $25 rate as advertised, (airport taxis were asking for $35-$45 for the same transport.)
