"No frills, good price point, clean."

"The pool not only didn’t have towels EVER… the lights are not on at night! It’s pitch black. When we asked for the lights to be turned on we were met with a nasty attitude from the staff. When we asked for towels for the pool they said to check the storage containers near the pool… the only thing in the container was spider webs and nasty other bugs! It’s a good thing no one hurt themselves in the dark parking lot pool!"

"Room was booked to sleep four: queen bed and pull out sofa. But the sofa only slept one (small person). Staff was kind enough to get us a cot for the 4th person. The original sheets on the pull out sofa were ripped and stained. Staff were again helpful and hot new linens. We had to shuffle the sofa a bit to fit the cot in. Then I noticed trash/rubbish that had been missed during cleaning. Staff were by far the best part of the stay. And not every hotel can be shiny and new. But...

"The front desk staff were awesome especially Dottie and Dena. They made the trip more enjoyable. Breakfast was great daily. The only issue I had was the hot water needs to be checked; the shower didnt stay hot and the water in the sink didnt stay hot. Other than that, it was a great experience."

"Pleasantly surprising room after a very off-putting lobby. NO ELEVATOR, which could be an issue to some! Lobby and hallways are pretty gross, but the rooms are clean and well-maintained. Staff was really rude, but I honestly didn't really care. AC was working, parking was easy. Bed was really comfortable. Very good cheap option in the area if you just need a place to shower and sleep."

"Not all Hilton brands are equal.I'm used to Hilton Garden Inn. This Tru brand is more of an average Best Western. No coffee makers in room. Breakfasts were ho-hum to blahs especially scrambled eggs and meats. Staff kept TV in main lounge on Spanish speaking channels. This is in New Jersey. Obviously this was meant to entertain the staff, not the guests. Air conditioner was noisy. 1st room they put me in was a connecting room, where the loudly arguing couple on other side of door was unbearable....

"This is the second time my family and I have stayed at Kartrite. Our rooms were clean we enjoyed the arcade and loved the indoor waterpark!"

"The bathroom was smelly and not properly cleaned. Water pressure was very low in the shower and there was no hot water. We didn't ask for help since it was 5 am and needed to head out early."

"As you walk in to the main entrance, it feels like a bank with full bulletproof glass between you and the hotel representative. Entering the room, which the door room number was written on blue painters tape, the room smelled like a air freshener, draws were open (couldn't close because they were broken) and when the wall ac unit was turned on, it never cooled the room. When we approached the front desk with the request for additional towels, they said they don't have any because the...

"Love it"

"I stay in about 20 hotel rooms a year. This room was outstanding. Great beds, staff attentive yet not intrusive, clean, comfortable. Breakfast was good. I generally don't use things like pools, etc., and I did not on this trip. I usually stay Best Westerns, but this property has got me thinking about joining the IHG points plan."

"The property is ungoing renovation and we stayed there several days over the course of a week. The rooms were in various states of condition. The furniture and bedding was very good in most rooms. The property shows it's age and thus the renovation. It's a bit overpriced on the weekends but it's summertime and to be expected. The weekend rates are clearly overpriced considering the property condition."

"Breakfast was excellent for a continental breakfast. Surrounding area was beautiful. Room was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. History of the area is beyond fantastic. Where they lack is in sharing where to go to experience the incredible American history that the area affords - there should be material at the front and in every room sharing the history of the area and the incredible state and federal museums to explore!
