"The Huntsman in is a nice hotel with pink hallways. Our room was big and clean but the best part about the Huntsman is the restaurant attached is really, really good and has great staff. We liked being a bit out of town - just a 10-15 walk into the busy busy center of Galway."

"Stayed here for 3 nights, a little out of the city but you can catch a bus right outside or take a 20 minute stroll in (if weather is ok). On a busy road but couldn't hear the traffic. Nice little bar area in which you can order bar snacks or opt for the resturant which was lovely. Attached to a petrol station if a snack is needed instead. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment. We would stay again as managed to rest at night which is much needed when using the hotel as a base like we did."

"Whatever this place is, it’s not a hotel in the usual sense of the word. There are no staff. Guests are simply left to enter and fend for themselves. The building is tired. Our shower was blocked with hair and wouldn't drain. I had to remove the hair myself. Paper thin walls meant that not only did we hear every movement and conversation from above, the snoring of the gentleman upstairs could be clearly heard at 4 in the morning, even with earplugs in. In a two week trip around Scotland...

"The staff were excellent and extremely accommodating. On the other hand- the hotel itself is tired, old, outdated and dirty. To make matters worse, there was a huge horse race (which I wasn’t aware of) and guests there were out of control. As I was walking into the lobby with my family to return to our room, a large fist fight breaks out in the lobby where a bloodied combatant is thrown out the front door. My kids thought it was cool, but I’m too old for that nonsense. My advice is before you...

"Rooms are large, with lots of storage space. All rooms are on ground level. Entire hotel was clean. Has no AC, which is normal for Ireland. First time using a hotel with shared bathroom-Pleasantly surprised. Bathrooms are modern and clean. There is also a large shared kitchen with fridge. There is an attached pizza bar, it was good pizza worth a try. Beds are comfortable. There is plenty of parking space, and easily accessible. Place was quiet. I would stay here again."

"Our room had an a/c unit (which worked wonderfully!), and a great bathroom. We were able to find street parking just slightly down the block, and were able to easily walk everywhere we wanted to go."
