Hotel in ristrutturazione, la struttura è molto vecchia e sporca. Colazione internazionale praticamente inesistente, nulla di dolce e pochissime cose salate. Assenza di tende in camera, mancava il vetro doccia e gli armadi. Ascensore pericoloso e senza porte. Assenza di aria condizionata.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE The elevator did not work We stayed for 4 nights and they don’t come to change the room. At the end, they will change you for anything. The blanket had. Stain before and they wanted to charge me the whole blaket, a towel and and pillow case .. we ended paying $30US extra for nothing. This is in downtown a lot of noise

I think this property will be great once they have everything in place. When my group checked in, the wardrobe was not installed so there was no place to hang jackets, the was not air conditioning in the room requiring us to have to open the windows which invites the noise from the downtown traffic in. The entry way smell like cat urine. The breakfast was great when it was fresh, but without heat under the pans the food became cold and rubbery by the end of breakfast. Maybe 11am is too late to offer breakfast?

Hotel was under construction with only two floors that were finished. Staff were unhelpful. When we checked in we had to wait over 1hr to get a room. We arrived after midnight and the room they gave us was not the right ones. They corrected this for the following night. Would not recommend this.

It was a great service by the staff . But the condition of the building was terrible which didn't reflect in the online booking . To my surprise they charge for tea bags if I want some for the room . I believe low budget in Cairo will be like this which was a bit surprising to us North Americans

Don’t believe the pictures you see on the website…at least not yet! They claim they are renovating to the level that is shown. They may have one or two rooms now (just for the pictures?!?!?) but the majority of the rooms are ~60% there. For instance, our shower had no barrier glass to contain the water. Water was anll over the bathroom floor. And I highly doubt you’ll get the same price once the property is fully renovated. Things to note: no air conditioners in the rooms (at least not yet, but it didn’t look likely for the future). The breakfast is nominal at best - you get what you pay for. It’s downtown so it’s going to be loud due to the constant honking of cars on the street. (The driving here is mayhem!) Last hint, to no fault of the hotel: if you arrive late night, don’t be surprised upon arrival. We’re told its overall safe, but it looks super sketchy and dirty - by American/Western standards. That’s Cairo. During the day, it’s hustle and bustle downtown. Also expect the Islamic “call to prayer” at 4:00 in the morning - every morning! Viaje: You need to be more upfront with potential customers about the current condition of the hotel. We got blind-sided for sure.

Very good stay overall. The room had a nice view and the facilities were good. Staff were polite and professional. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Great experience! The hotel looks modern and well maintained. Housekeeping did a great job every day. The atmosphere was relaxing and perfect for a short vacation.

Small boutique hotel in the center of downtown. The rooms are clean. The bed is ok, not the most comfortable. The full bedroom is very tight with no dresser or counter space. I'd recommend the twin room which seems to be more a little more spacious. Breakfast is simple with eggs, bread, fruit and yogurt. The staff was very friendl and helpful. Decent property but I dont think the rate matches thae actual facility.

Please read this carefully to be aware of what you are dealing with. This hotel occupies the 5th floor of a rather run down building. The groundfloor hall is quite rundown and dirty, you really feel you are not in the right building. Tiny elevator. Very bland reception space. Staff there intermittently. Rooms are bare-bone, nothing on the walls, one tiny shelf barely hanging on the wall. It feels like it is in the process of being remodeled. My main problems: 1. one sheet on the mattress, no top sheet so you sleep under the bedcover that god knows when was last laundered. 2.Construction work in the building (loud banging) started around 3 am and never stopped. Forget sleeping. 3. We had to leave without checking out because everytime we tried to, the person did not speak english and asked to come back later. In the end we just left. 4. No air conditioning or heating in the room. We were so cold in March that we piled towels on top of the bedcover. So in the end, I do no recommend. Yes location is good, but I think this place lacks the basic amenities to make it an acceptable international standard hotel. I think I saw some windowless rooms, and some corridors are so narrow that they clearly do not meet fire safety standards. I think you can do better.

Viaje Hotel should not be listed on Expedia. The property shown in the photos does not resemble the reality at all. What appears online looks like a concept in someone’s head because what exists in reality is an unsafe, poorly maintained building that is closer to an abandoned structure than a functioning hotel. The elevator is unreliable, and the stairwell (five flights) is unsanitary with the smell of urine, visible feces, and severely damaged flooring. The room was a tiny box with unfinished walls, poor ventilation that made it difficult to breathe, no balcony as advertised, and windows that provided no sound insulation from constant outside noise. The breakfast area was equally unacceptable, with flies everywhere and food conditions that did not appear sanitary enough to eat. In more than 20+ years of travel, this is one of the worst accommodations I have ever encountered. Properties with conditions like this should not be listed on a platform travelers trust. Expedia must implement stronger vetting and on-site verification before promoting accommodations that put guests’ health, safety, and trust at risk.

When booking for more people, you need to add them in the reservation. Otherwise you will be charged for $15 per people. At night the street is very noisy and you can hear the noise from the room till midnight

Please be warned before booking this hotel: the hotel is UNDER CONSTRUCTION and UNFINISHED. We traveled with our two young children and a lot of luggage, but the elevator was not even fully finished or operating during part of our stay. The rooms are unfinished. As one reviewer noted, this is a skeleton of a hotel (all fifth floor with major, unsafe construction happening on the preceding floors through which we were forced to climb with our young kids several times), and the owners ARE NOT UPFRONT about this very important detail at the booking stage. Deceptive. Moreover, even what is finished is lacking tremendously. For a new hotel, one would expect basic fixtures and elements in the rooms. The showers leak, there is very limited space for basic toiletry items, etc throughout the room, and the entire hotel has a strange, un-hospitable feel. Not sure how the facility was even permitted to open for business at this stage. I complained, of course, and received nothing as compensation for the troubles and deception. Most of the staff (young men) are friendly and helpful enough, with the exception of one employee who works the evening shift and is quite rude and inattentive, even when told that basic needs were not being met.

Het hotel was schoon en netjes, met vriendelijk personeel. Het ontbijt was lekker en gevarieerd. De kamer was comfortabel en rustig. Een prettig verblijf.
