"I stayed at Hotel Solar do Conde and, unfortunately, the experience was not what I had hoped for. The biggest issue was the bed: the “double” was only 137 cm wide, which feels more like something from generations ago than a modern hotel standard. "Perfect seaside accomodation. Clean, modern, spacious for two people. Close to one beach and one swimming area. Rear entrance facing the ocean, easy access to the ocean. Nice hot tub in terrace. Quiet neighbourhood. There are two good restaurants on the same block and many more within walking distance. Ponta Delgada city centre is a 5min drive away. The host team is fantastic, very helpful and prompt. We loved our stay and book again. "

"The first problem, tight street the taxi couldn’t go down street. Dropped us off at the top and told us we had to walk down a cobblestone road rolling our suitcases. No elevator. Had to carry suitcases up 3 flights of stairs. But beautiful room once we made it up there. "
