"when we first arrived at Halo Homestay - we were concerned because it was not in a very nice area. We didn't realise how big Halong Bay city is. we were expecting sleepy little fishing village!! NOT!! there are 2 distinct areas 1. locals 2. tourists. This homestay is in the locals area. Its not a pretty area by a long shot but our lovely host Hien made up for it by taking us on a tour to one of the most beautiful temples I have ever seen. she gave us a free tour of her hometown and we felt very...

Top Cam Pha Hotel Reviews

Radisson Blu Hotel, Ha Long Bay

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel is very large and quite new. A great large indoor heated pool plus another outside which we did not try. A large group had arrived prior to our check-in so it was quite chaotic and very noisy plus had to wait a while. Likewise, breakfast the following day was chaotic due to the large number of people. We left it later the second morning and it was much easier to find a table. Very good range of breakfast items to choose from with live stations for pho and Hai Phong crab soup with black rice noodles. We had fabulous views from our executive room overlooking Ha Long Bay. It was very spacious and had a huge bathroom. This also gave access to Chef's bites and an assortment of beverages free from 2 to 6pm. The savoury item was the same both days and I would have preferred more choice."
