Truly an exceptional place. The house and our room (Naples) was like a dream. Even in winter where the outdoor facilities (pool etc) are not usable, there's nothing negative to say. It was worth the expense.

Absolutely breathtaking property, tucked away in the bustling city of Avignon. From the moment we arrived, Jean-Luc and Valérie were incredibly welcoming and couldn't have done more to make our stay comfortable. We had the best night's sleep we've had in ages – the bed was so comfortable, and the whole house is full of charm and character. We absolutely loved our (far too short!) stay and only wished we could have stayed longer. We'll definitely be back, and next time we'll be booking for much...

Ideal location to discover Arles, La Camargue, Saint Remy, Des Alpilles as well as many other famous and beautiful locations. Only 45 mins from Marseille airport. Hotel based on an industrial estate so don't expect stunning views.

We stayed at the Villa Mazarin for a belated anniversary treat and were blown away by the service, the room and the location. I'd also asked for champagne and flowers to celebrate and these were top notch. The team at Villa Mazarin were without exception very helpful and also very tolerant of my terrible French when trying to get directions/a restaurant recommendation/chat about the weather! I felt that nothing was too much trouble for them and am hoping to visit again soon. Thank you so much...

The online reviews swayed us to stay in this beautiful hotel. Initially we were a little reluctant because it is over the river from the main town of Avignon. We were only staying for one night before continuing our journey to Antibes and we didn't want too much hassle the following morning to get to the train station. It is a short walk to the bus stop and the local bus takes less than 10 mins to take you into the centre of Avignon. We were not disappointed at all and after an evening meal...

Great staff and the location was great. The bar/restaurant downstairs was also good and no sound came into the hotel rooms.

What a wonderful hotel - really cool room with an amazing beach view. Food was very good and the staff were very attentive. Will definitely return.

Everything about Maison Douce is excellent! Owner Nathalie treats you as a personal house guest, doing her best to see you have a great time in Arles. Maison Douce is an old house with very modern stylish internal fittings: the rooms are comfortable, spacious and quiet. Some brighter reading lights would be welcome! Continental breakfast sets you up for the day : we enjoyed the friendliness of the indoor communal seating and there is an outside terrace ,too, for warmer days. Maison Douce is...

We loved our stay at Le Calendal. Since we were traveling with our son we chose a triple room. To our surprise the room was spacious but most importantly facing the amphitheater! There was also a terrace with small table to sit outside but no matter where you stood in the room you saw it just right! Another great plus of Le Calendar was the lovely garden - with its background spa music filling the air with peace and harmony. We had our breakfast out there and just loved it! We would...

Classy and chic in a super location for shops and the main square

The hotel Garlande is a great little hotel in the heart of Avignon. It is set in a cobbled backstreet close to the Papal Palace. The rooms are nice (we had a 3rd floor family room). It oozes charm and is quaint (we had to climb a spiral staircase to our room). The people running the hotel are amazing and are what makes this a place to defiantly visit. From discussing restaurants (and booking them for us) to advising on Provence places to visit, they couldn't do enough. The breakfasts were great,...
