Country Inn Walker

"The front desk staff were extremely helpful, friendly, accommodating, and kind, especially Jennifer (I believe was her name). She greeted me by name whenever I came and went. We stayed at the hotel for business reasons with two other guests. We needed to stay on the first floor of the property in order to be able to use a wheelchair. The only negative we have in that regard was that there didn't seem to be a ramp from the handicap parking into the front of the hotel and we got stuck a couple of times on the gap between the asphalt and the concrete sidewalk. Also, more grab bars in the bathtub/shower would be helpful to elderly folks or those with disabilities. Otherwise our stay was great. Hot continental breakfast was good, with an assortment of other breakfast foods which was a pleasant surprise to us. Rooms were clean and appeared to be well maintained. We didn't have time to use the pool or hot tub. Also, I had stayed one night last year around the same time and the staff at that time didn't appear to be as professional as the current staff. I did have some concerns about rebooking because of my perception of the previous staff. They sat around outside the hotel smoking quite a bit. That was not the case on this visit. Therefore, I highly recommend staying here while in the Walker area."

"We were there to fish on Leech Lake and our cabin was right on the water with a gorgeous view that changed by the moment. The staff was amazing. We loved the pool and the beach area. It was a great place for our family. Will stay again!"
