Our favorite in Paarl

This place is a favorite of ours, and we keep on returning. You are well taken care of by the staff and owners, the grounds are very beautiful and the it is a quiet oasis. It is easy to get an uber to explore some of the stunning restaurants and vineyards close by. If you want to stay at the hotel all day, they offer great food as well upon requsest

We chose well for our first night in South Africa. The host and her staff were very welcoming and we enjoyed our stay in the rural & rustic setting. We would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you Tessa

Beautiful property but stable rooms are loud

Beautiful estate with a pool to-die-for. Nice breakfast, but no vegan options...I had written the owners with questions ahead of time, but never received a response. And while the stable rooms are large, the walls are paper-thin and you can hear your neighbors (tv, conversations, blowing noses.)

The estate is perfectly situated in the middle of vineyards and orchards. We had a beautiful view of the mountains from our stoep which also faced a pergola with picnic table and pool. We enjoyed panoramic views of the mountain ranges during our walks around the farm on days when we weren't hiking or visiting nearby wine estates. They The staff prepared our fire place with wood so that we could enjoy an evening with wine, food and friends on our private stoep as well. The common areas are charming and perfectly manicured. Every member of the staff was friendly and eager to make our stay comfortable. The restaurant was warm and inviting with a warm fire on cold rainy days, and open and airy on sunny days. The food service staff was attentive and the food was perfectly prepared. The menu is limited, but it would meet anyone's taste or dietary restrictions. The chef was flexible with our requests. We even purchased delicious guava preserves to bring home. We will certainly be staying with them again if we are lucky enough to journey back to the beautiful wine country of South Africa.

Relaxing with lovely gardens and pool

Great shower, good beds, comfy sofa and armchairs in living area, Nespresso machine, TV in living room AND in bedroom. Unfortunately a little neglected (due to Covid?) and rather dirty. But with some clean-ups a lovely place.
