Super freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, sehr saubere, grosszügige, moderne und geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer mit tollem Blich vom Hang auf das Meer. Sehr gutes WLAN, tolles Frühstück mit viel selber gebackenem. Die Unterkunft ist absolut zu empfehlen und in den top 3 der tollen Unterkünfte, die wir auf unserer 1-monatigen Reise durch Südafrika besucht haben. Die letzten 10m der Zufahrt zum Haus sind sehr steil (herausfordernd) aber machbar.

Heaven!

Absolutely exquisite! Every detail is divine. The breakfast is of the highest quality. Unlike any other place I’ve stayed. William, Kate and the staff make you feel at home and that home is elegant and cozy. And the view is everything. Perfect location in between Cape Point and Muizenberg beach. A few minutes drive from Boulders beach. Highly recommend Residence William French!

This is without question the best B&B we’ve rented. 1) Location: we woke up every morning to the sight of the infinity pool overlooking the ocean, as the water glistened under the rising sun. 2) Service: they were attentive, caring, and their response time was speedy. You felt like you had gone home to visit your favorite relatives. The best part about the service was the tiny fur babies that greeted us on arrival and checked on us every morning. 3) Cleanliness and decor: this is the first time I’ve stayed at a B&B and did not feel the need to sanitize the entire flat before getting settled in. The decor screamed ‘glamorously comfortable’. Old world met new world in proportions that were just right enough to make the room a statement piece of its own, fit for a showcased home. 4) Food: thanks to them, I think I’m carrying around an extra 4 pounds. Little homemade pastries, freshly made, always seemed to find their way into our room, hands, and mouths. The breakfast spread was irresistible. On our last day William made Mona, a Spanish bread traditionally served during Easter, that was his grandmother’s culinary treasure. Not only was it delicious, but knowing that we got to enjoy a piece of his family history was priceless. Thank you for an amazing ‘Cape-cation’. We will always stay here whenever we visit Cape Town.

Incredible view and home

William and his crew were very welcoming and we loved the dogs! The driveway is a bit steep and there is no signage, so we were kind of confused when we first pulled in but the directions were on point. Beautiful home and view. We left before breakfast but were given delicious croissants to take with us. Would stay here again.

Easily one of the best places we have ever stayed. Wonderful sceneries, friendly staff, excellent location. Outstanding breakfast and freshly cooked evening meal if you ask for it beforehand. Very spacious rooms and it is certainly home from home. It is an excellent base for the gateway to Cape Point, Boulder Bay and Chapman’s Peak. Car is essential for easy travel.

Owner does not allow late check in. We were charged for dinner despite cancellation ahead of time. Single entrance for all guests shered by owner. No private entrance. There are no penguins on the beach next to this residence. It is over 5 km drive from there.

Great experience on all levels

Fantastic stay. Watched whales from the deck playing in the ocean. Only 10 minutts walk to the pingvins. Tips. Attend the sosial dinner with the other guest. Great food and great company.

Residence William French greatly exceeded our expectations! We made our booking there due to its close proximity to the Cape of Good Hope and Boulder’s Beach, excited about hiking and penguins. It turns out our experience at Residence William French rivaled our experiences at the Cape and with the penguins; it was fantastic! The residence is located in a quiet neighborhood, perched on a hillside with a stunning view of False Bay. The property is impeccably decorated, comfortable, and welcoming. Our dinner and breakfast there were beautifully and thoughtfully prepared, and delicious, on par with the best meals we’ve had in Cape Town. William is the perfect host. We were sad to leave, wishing we’d booked more nights there.

This place is heaven. William has made this a slice of paradise in every way, from the details of the amenities with luxurious finishes, to his amazing cooking, and overall being an excellent host. We left our last night in Cape Town open and while traveling were told about this property by another couple. They were oozing about how wonderful this place was. We were able to book and were not disappointed. We only stayed for one night, but we will be back for an extended trip. This place cannot be described with only words. It's just magnificent.

Exceeding all expectations

From the first moment at welcome to an emotional farewell after a week we felt like part of the William’s Family. We couldn’t wish more from this gorgeous place - from the breathtaking location on the hill with the spectacular view over False Bay to the uniquely decorated rooms, the infinity-pool and last but not least - the delicious breakfasts and dinners - everything made with love from scratch. Janine, William, Florence and the other members of the ”family”, you all made us really feel at home. We have travelled a lot, but never experienced such a fantastic hostess ship and a guest house offering nothing but the best. If you plan to go to Simon’s Town, you can’t miss this heavenly place or Williams gourmet dinners. We can strongly recommend this guest house

Everything about this property was beautiful and romantic. The views are stunning. The property is beautifully maintained. The staff think of every detail and THE FOOD! The included breakfast is delicious. If you have a chance to have William cook, take it! It will be fantastic. We haven’t stopped talking about this place since we left.
