It is unfortunate that you did not enjoy your stay with us. Our property has solar power that covers all the buildings on the property to keep the lights and the wifi going throughout an outage. All units are connected to one solar unit, so in the event that one unit uses more power than the other the power still drains. In the event that the power outage goes over the assigned time of 2/3 hours, we have to allow time for the solar to recharge. It is unfair to criticize us based on an planned power outage that was communicated to all our guests a day in advance that guests can pre-plan accordingly. We went above and beyond to make all out guests feel as relaxed as possible throughout their stay, as mentioned - Loadshedding - is a country wide issue. All our villas have their own eco-pool. An eco pool has no chemicals or machines and all natural. We try to give back to nature what we took in building in the mountains of the Helderberg, thus the reason for our eco pools.

Good day, I trust that you are well, We are saddened to hear that you had a terrible and underwhelming experience with us. We would like to take this opportunity to explain the following: You did your booking via a booking agent Expedia, they clearly state all the details on what each room type offers with relevant photographs of the units. You chose and booked a standard room in our Guest House which offers a small private patio. However, guests have access to the rest of the guest house, garden and pool area which has magnificent panoramic views of the Helderberg mountains and sea. Our Luxury one- and two-bedroom Villas offers landscape and sea views from the units. Due to our location, we do at times have intermittent cell phone and Wifi signal, we are currently working on a solution to improve this. With regards to the issues you have brought to our attention in your review, for clarification, were you able to inform the staff about the gas stove, the towel rack as well as the mould during your stay. We have begun sorting out the above stated issues in the unit. The issue with the jacuzzi, we decided some months ago to start using wood instead of electricity because of the amount of electricity that gets used when the jacuzzi is on. We also had to keep in mind the loadsheddig interruptions. Thus we require prior mention/booking for the use of the jacuzzi. We thank you again for brining these issues to our attention. Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. On behalf of management we sincerely apologies for the inconvenience. Upon arrival you were shown to the villa and also pointed out the information folder with the list of restaurants to choose from and requested to let us know which one you would like us to book. The power outage occurred late on Saturday and our maintenance team came out to attend to the problem after hours and fixed it making sure that appliances are working again for you to make use of. We were not made aware of the water at all. When we contacted you in the villa the following morning you had already left and also did not come up to reception for checkout. We do take note of the fact that this inconvenience may have put a damper on your stay, and we would like to invite you back, please contact us for more information.
