We just lived this place. The welcome and the service couldn't have been friendlier, the room was spacious and comfortable, the pool was clean and refreshing and breakfast was hearty and well presented. we couldn't have asked for any more following a 6 hour drive from Botswana.
When we left it was like leaving your favourite aunties house and hoping to get back there soon. Our only complaint was we only stayed 1 night!

Wow, what can you say about this place - it's just amazing. We were expecting quite a lot from our safari, but this exceeded it, by a mile...
As you only go on safari to actually go deep in the bush, we can certainly say that this achieved our goal and more - the Ranger and Tracker working here, Peter and Sandy, are very, very, very good at what they do. We got the see all big 5 in our first 2 safaris, and went on to see them again and again... They made it a point that we get to see each one up...

An absolutely stunning hotel all decorated in a Rembrandt theme. Huge rooms with extra comfy king sized beds.
Imagine sipping your room service delivered wine while soaking in a bathtub for 2 (or a walk in shower).
An excellent restaurant with an extensive menu and tasting menu (must reserve in advance). a beautiful wine cellar...
This is the perfect halfway stop between northern Kruger and JNB. Perfect 5* service with a friendly touch.

We absolutely loved our time at Kings Walden Garden Manor. The gardens are stunning and you really feel the history of the setting. The room was very large and had an open fire. The food was exceptional and the service was excellent too. There was nothing at all negative about our stay - it exceeded our expectations in every way.

Fantastic stay at Sherwoods with heavenly view. Rooms located overlooking valleys and opposite mountain range with stunning views. The property is very well maintained from the cut grass to the swimming pool and cosy little English style pub in the main reception area. Ideally placed from Tzaneen up a nice windy mountain road with once again epic views. Would gladly stay here again even with the cheeky monkeys sitting on the car roof

I booked this for my daughter & her boyfriend as a break whilst they were volunteering in South Africa. They absolutely loved it. The hotel / food were really good and the game drives superb - seeing a wide variety of animals at close quarters. The knowledgeable rangers join the guests at dinner which adds to the experience. They loved it so much they decided to stay for a 2nd night!
