A good location with good views over Barry. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The property was "tired" and with a good budget, has the potential to be a lovely venue. A good value for money, basic accommodation, if your expectations are not too high.

Good value room. Convenient location close to Barry train station. Staff were helpful and friendly. No kettle/drink making facilities in room. No food for sale at the hotel but there was a bar. Small car park and the roads around were full of parked cars so had to park about 5 minutes walk away.

Clean basic room, twin beds were not overly comfortable as felt leaning one way!! But cheap and easy, right by station. Could have used a glass in room to get some water to drink. Overall it was what it said on the tin so to speak!

Lovely hotel in barry and very close to barry train station so it is a very convenient location. The room was clean and comfortable and for the cost of the room it was good value and cheaper than cardiff.

Had a great night's stay here. Check-in was quick and easy and the receptionist was friendly. My room was clean, tidy and contained everything I required during my stay. It was my second time staying here and I'll be back again next year.

Cheap and cheerful a nice clean space to rest my head. The outside could do with a spruce up but for what we paid and how close it is to the train station for Cardiff I have no complaints! Will definitely stay again when attending a concert in Cardiff. Staff were really nice and helpful. Bed was comfortable and the pillows were perfect! Nice big towels too. For the Gavin and Stacey fans Gwens house is only 0.3 miles away so a great place to start if you’re site spotting 😊

Always like staying at the Mount rooms Staff was very friendly and helpful. I think the rooms could be tidied up a little bit more and maybe some pictures on the wall but always a nice friendly stay. Train station 300m away straight into Cardiff central. Could walk straight onto Barry Island from the hotel in about 20 minutes and you’ve also got the lovely area of the cold knap pebble Beach close by.

As soon as I checked in, friendly lovely staff members let me check in a bit early which helped as I had heavy suitcase and I got my room straight. They gave me recommendations for food nearby too which was really helpful as I wasn’t sure what was good local foods. If you want a place to stay in Barry this is it for sure. And one other positive right next to the Barry station within good walking distance.

Well priced, no frills room. Perfect location for visiting Barry Island. The only criticisms I have were no draft beer or ice available in the bar and some toiletries would have been nice in the room. Were advised that food was no longer available at the property which wasn’t an issue for us. On the whole, I’d recommend staying.

Rooms are very basic but clean and warm comfortable bed staff are very helpful and polite only 100 yards to local eating and pubs limited parking on site overall very good for what you're paying
