"Off to a bad start due to the, otherwise very pleasant, owner pouncing on us as we arrived following a day of travel. We really just wanted to be left alone to arrive and unpack. "Properly was nice and central to the town. Activities in walking and driving distance. Only downside is they dont want dogs upstairs but do not provide a gate on the stairs. Having to make a makeshift block not easy."

"Kitchen was stocked with bread, butter, milk and jam, which was lovely but there was NO tea or coffee. However, given how dirty some of the mugs were, that probably wasn't a bad thing. There were also dirty trays left in the oven and drawer. Rest of cottage was clean thankfully. However, frustrating as limited power points, and no shaver socket in bathroom for toothbrush. Bedroom door handle/latch was very stiff and hard to open. Shower temperature dial was also VERY stiff. It was stuck on...

"We had a lovely stay at Kingfisher cottage. The grounds of Maesgwynne Mansions (on which this small courtyard of cottages is situated) are lovely; this time of year flowering rhododendrons are a highlight, and a walk around took us past the fishing lake and neighbouring fields with various farm animals. There are fabulous views, and the outdoor swimming pool had a cover enabling us to use it even in early May. very peaceful & highly recommended."
