"Original room had an overpowering cleaning “perfume” smell. Smell was not tolerable. Also found 3 hairs on the sheets. Requested room change and additional set of sheets which clerk readily provided. On a positive note, the evening clerk provided his personal phone charger to keep my phone from dying."

"I booked this hotel for the location in proximity to where I needed to be AND the advertised pool. I was traveling with 3 children. The pool has no water in mid May in SC with temperatures in the 80s and 90s. When I booked it I knew we would be coming in overnight/early morning- I spoke to the hotel staff before hand and again called before leaving home to say we were coming. At 0600 they cancelled my reservations (2 rooms), I saw they called and returned the call at 0700 and he reinstated them. When we arrived at 0830 - the desk clerk told me that there was an early check in fee - which amounted to the night before that I had already booked, but ticked me off because she was arguing with me about it. Then we had no pool. The bathroom walls had obvious water damage and a crack down the entire wall indicating poor maintenance. We ended up leaving a day early so we could enjoy beach time before returning home and due to lack of anything to encourage us to come back there, even another night that was paid for already, we changed our plans/route to stay elsewhere. I ended up paying for 4 nights and staying 2."

"I had paid in full for my room only to arrive to the hotel at 5:47 PM to be told “we oversold the rooms” and you do not have a room. I literally had driven 4 hours to be told “sorry” we gave your room to someone else. How can this be legal. FYI I have not been credited my room fee back as of a day later. Poor treatment, poor handling and completely unprofessional manager. I would avoid this location, frankly the entire chain if this is the way they treat clients."
