About a 12 minute walk from the railway station, but right in the city square. A little bit outdated but perfectly fine for a couple of nights. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Standard rooms recently refurbished and bathroom clean and smart, but only internal courtyard views, so if you like the pictures on the listing, you will need to make sure you book a higher grade room. Street parking possible but only slightly cheaper than using the hotel's parking. Good breakfast in a first floor room overlooking the main square. Very handy for all the city centre sights. Hotel bar is very well located for the evening sun on the edge of the square.
Refurbished hotel, right on the main square. Clean, spacious and well equipped rooms, quiet too. Good buffet breakfast and all for a very reasonable price.
Everything really good, the only minus the structure of building, with stairs, etc, not so comfortable if you have big luggage, out of that is the best place in town to stay
Beautifull Hotel with a really friendly staff.
Breakfast is really good with lots of hot and cold dishes to choose from.
Only downside is that there is no aircondition so it was really hot at night.
My stay at Grandhotel Zvon left me with quite mixed feelings.
Let me start with the positives: the location is absolutely great. They also have an interesting and clever parking solution located on the 1st and 2nd floors. Additionally, the hotel offers really tasty breakfasts with a large selection of good quality products and great coffee, making for a perfect start to the day.
Unfortunately, the comfort of the stay left a lot to be desired. I booked a "Superior Twin Room" (which seems to be their base category, as I didn't see any standard or economy options available). My room was located in the attic and had heavily sloped ceilings. Being 180 cm tall, this was extremely inconvenient – I hit my head hard on the wall twice. Calling a room with such impractical slants "Superior" feels quite misleading.
Another major downside was the lack of consideration for guests' rest. On Saturday at 8:00 AM, I was woken up by loud noises from the next room. The cleaning staff was moving furniture around, completely ignoring the fact that guests might still want to sleep at that time on a weekend.
In conclusion: the location, parking, and food are definite pluses, but the impractical attic room and the early morning noise significantly lower my final rating.
First class experience all around. Was able to check in early and the front desk, restaurant and housekeeping were friendly and helpful. On day of departure I left early and the even packed a breakfast to eat on the train back to Prague. An extra bonus - Christmas market was right outside during my entire stay. I would highly recommend!!
Beautiful location , old historic building , breakfast simple but good (few choices) and the staff in reception sadly were not the friendliest.
Would love to feel more welcomed next time.
The desk staff was very nice and the room was REALLY comfortable. The hotel appearance is elegant.
The restaurant was much more causal than we thought it would be, and very loud. Food was good. Server pleasant.
All in all the hotel is unique! They have many rooms hidden in the back, some can get lost with the floors and stairs, but once you know your way it is fine.
The location is great, in the heart if the square. Restaurant has the services that one would want and the breakfast selection was complete. Replenishment was also quick and frequent.
Overall, a very nice experience!
Parking is the only negative, but they do advise you at the front desk, so your options are clear.
Room and hotel in good condition and comfortable. The breakfast was very enjoyable and overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel.
The only downside was reception as when we asked for some additional milk shortly after arriving (only 2 little capsules were left in our room) we were told some would be sent to our room BUT none came. Disappointed as other hotels we have stayed always obliged.
