Clean/comfortable room. Hotel in good/central location - hence you may be disturbed by early (3-4am) bin collections. Managed to get parking on site. Pool/jacuzzi is a nice treat. Breakfast is expensive for children, so went to local cafe instead.

Chard looked fine, we didn't spend much time there though, we were visiting other attractions.
Chard has many shops, pubs & take- aways. Really handy for visiting surrounding areas such as llminster another pretty village with shops , places to eat & drink etc.
The local museum is worth a visit on the main street. Staff are very knowledgeable. Lots of amenities nearby. bars, restaurants, cafes, shops etc...
Just that it was a pleasure to stay there a querky building just off the high street with ample parking at the back of the building
All aspects of this hotel are to a high "flagship" quality.
