The property is well located for downtown activities and dining; walking to most places. Valet parking (pricey) is really the only option, because negotiating suitcases on Charleston uneven sidewalks from a garage is a non-starter. We liked the morning breakfast, and the quiet rooms and comfortable bed, but the standard rooms are very small, making it difficult to open 2 suitcases on the floor, and still have walking room. Overall, though, we liked the property, but if we returned, we would need a larger room.

Overall, I had an average stay. The hotel is in a great location and everything was very clean, which I appreciated. However, the experience didn’t match the price. The biggest issue was the lack of soundproofing—you can hear people walking in the room above, conversations in neighboring rooms, and other noises throughout the hotel, making it difficult to relax. I was also disappointed with the service. The front desk staff were not particularly welcoming and would often not even acknowledge guests with a simple hello or goodbye when walking by. While the hotel has a nice appearance and an excellent location, I found it to be overpriced for what it offers. With better service and improved sound insulation, it would be a much better experience.

The hotel was exceptionally clean. The staff was very helpful. Let me say. I am deaf and mute, so customer services paramount to me. I review for google. "Jeffrey tries it". I really enjoyed the valet service. In truth I didn't enjoy the breakfast. It was quite small, and it was all carbohydrates. I have never seen a hotel that didn't at least have scrambled eggs. All the other amenities were great, but when I came down the first morning for breakfast, I looked around and said, where is it? Not even toast. So instead of having a nice breakfast at my hotel, I had to leave and go have breakfast elsewhere. This is strange to me because at night, at the bar, you can order a charcuterie plate that is incredible. If you don't feel like leaving the hotel for dinner, you don't have to. The hummus plate is also wonderful. Knowing this and knowing the kitchen is capable of producing better made me wonder why they don't.
