"We loved the location and convenience to restaurants and sites to see and very quiet"

"There is not much nice to say. The hotel smelled because so many people live there abd are coming all different kinds of food. No matter what door you exit the hotel through you get hit in the face with cigarette smoke. The people who live there are rude and act like you just walked into their home without an invitation. The staff fits not acknowledged you abd when they do they do not use a greet they just say, "what do you need?" It says the have breakfast but when you get there they tell you...

"The breakfast was less than ok. Nothing but 3 pieces of bread—no bagels or pastries and the biggest disappointment was no cinnamon rolls. We went to breakfast at 7:20 am. Also at that point no yogurt. The biscuits were not great either. Dry and hard. The room was great but breakfast not so much"

"While our stay was pleasant overall, the bathroom in our room requires some attention. The door is quite difficult to shut and requires a firm push to close completely. Additionally, there are also noticeable gaps in the bathtub tiling that need repair, which doesn't quite match the quality you would expect from a 3-star property."

"Great place to stay. I stay with my elderly aunt and mother who both have mobility issues and there were no problems with the shower or the tub with the handicapped bars. Curtis checked us in and he was very helpful."

"We were there two days. When we got back to our room there had been no housekeeping done. My wife went to the office to get some clean towels. She asked why no one cleaned the reply was “we knocked and no one answered”"

"The location is wonderful, just steps away from the Black Friar's Theater, Mary Baldwin University, and several good restaurants and shops. Just as wonderful is the staff - everyone was welcoming and helpful. We also enjoyed breakfast at the hotel's Magnolia South Restaurant. Service couldn't have been better. The hotel has been located in the heart of Staunton for decades. At the same time we felt enchanted by the architecure, we also noticed that the hotel needs some updates and TLC. However,...

"The staff were fantastic! However the room was not very clean, holes in the walls, looked like someone burnt a hole in the floor, and smelt horrible! That being said, it was cheap and I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for."
