Homewood Suites by Hilton Chicago Downtown South Loop
The room was great, staff were friendly and helpful. The only disappointment (for the kids, at least) was that the hot tub was out of order all weekend, and the pool was closed Monday. But it didn't ruin our weekend by any means.

Best Western Grant Park Hotel
We had to change rooms twice. The rooms were dirty or had very visible damage. The heat wasn't working in our 2nd room and the person next to us was smoking weed in his room all night and very loud. The staff was not helpful at all with anything.

Once you realized there is a kiosk for check-in, this is done quickly. The lobby was nicely done. The room is compact but adequate. The mattress was better than average (but could be better). The pillows were very nice. The shower was easy to enter, and the flow and temperature were easy to control. ...
