Must-stay place if you drive

Absolutely amazing. Even the morning was cloudy and overwhelmed with fogs, the view was spectacular with view of 'Abbaye de San Galgano'. The breakfast buffet was also more than delicious. Specifically, the salamis were cut from the staffs, not those bought from manufactured products, which also tasted great. The person who helped our check-in and -out was the only person fluent in English, but you can conversate with other staffs with no problem using your body language, don't worry about this.

Vista spettacolare sull'Abbazia Servizio impeccabile: purtroppo per un problema idraulico, l'acqua calda presente la sera prima al risveglio non c'era più, ci hanno dato una camera per fare la doccia. Gentilissimi e sorridenti ( non è da tutti ) Ci ritornerò senz'altro

Pre-wedding visit

We had such an amazing stay, beautiful venue with fantastic & attentive staff. Booked the hotel as a pre wedding visit, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. The food in the restaurant is exceptional, really recommend eating here during your stay. We was lucky enough to view a large handful of the rooms, and they was all lovely. Overall could not recommend enough and I can’t wait to bring my guests here in May

FANTASTIC

This hotel is fabulous and all of the staff are so welcoming. Our daughter is getting married here in May 22 and we went for quick visit. We can’t believe how lucky we are to be holding such a special day in such a special place.

Vergognoso ed offensivo chiedere l'invio dei Docum

ristrutturato di recente ,a pochi passi dall'abbazia ,bellissima posizione,la camera con bella veduta della campagna ed alcune direttamente sull'abbazia;il ristorante offre piatti della tradizione. L'unica sorpresa negativa la richiesta continuativa di inviare ( via Whats app ) già da 2gg prima i documenti , il giorno precedente hanno inviato il regolamento UE n°679. Forse non li hanno mai richiesti in passato. Quando siamo arrivati e dato i documenti abbiamo chiesto il motivo della richiesta anticipata e perchè non hanno chiesto il green pass

The Perfect Place to Stay in Tuscany!

We LOVED this hotel. The property was perfectly manicured and the staff was extremely kind and helpful. The Abby of San Galgano was AMAZING. The entire experience was first rate. We want to and will come back and stay here again. What a fantastic establishment. Highly recommend!!!

Peaceful, with Modern Rooms

The grounds are lovely and peaceful, the rooms are fully renovated and modern, with very good build quality (for example, the shower enclosure is large, with a premium showerhead). The café is nice to grab a snack at. One note: the side door is open for guests who return to their rooms after the restaurant closes, but you have to WRENCH the key clockwise to open the door. I struggled with it for 10 minutes before I got in! Learn from me :) One other thing of note: this is definitely a driving destination, as the only public transport available is a once-a-day bus to Siena that passes by at 6:52am.

Magico

Salve, abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura soltanto per una notte e ci siamo trovati benissimo. I gestori/proprietari e il personale sono gentilissimi e discreti. Abbiamo usufruito di uno degli appartamenti che è molto grande e dotato di tutti i comforts. Tutto molto ben curato. Si può scegliere questo luogo per il relax che offre e per la magia della Spada nella roccia di San Galgano. Comunque consigliatissimo.

posizione strategica, a due passi dall'eremo (200 metri ) posto meraviglioso in inverno figuriamoci questa estate . La cucina dell'agriturismo speciale molto molto buono . che dire da ritornare in estate nei dintorni borghi medioevali stupendi .bello bello bello

Average hotel, no frills, remote, need a car

Although the hotel is clean and pleasant, it is run more like a restaurant which has a few rooms upstairs. It is very relaxed and the staff often appear grumpy and unhelpful. There are however one or two staff members who are willing to help. The reception staff gave my passport back to another couple staying at the hotel to pass onto me which I was very unhappy about, in my opinion this is careless behaviour with somebody's private and important documentation. The breakfast was ok but not amazing in terms of selection. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The hotel is in the middle of rolling fields therefore I would recommend a car to get yourself about, there is no local taxi service, the nearest is in Siena (which will cost you a min of €60 to hire. The walls in the hotel rooms are thin and you can hear a lot of movement throughout the hotel.
