"We thought the property itself was absolutely beautiful and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Food was great and we loved the quiet atmosphere it brought to us. We do have a few complaints regarding the room. Not very happy about the private villa we stayed in. It had a bad smell like basement and there small bugs in there. Also no windows. Also we had to cancel one of our stay and we did not receive a refund which was disappointing. "

"Throughout our stay there was a terrible smell of sewage in the hotel especially in the lobby. The doors were kept wide open to have fresh air come in. It did not help. Talking to the staff they pretended that everything is in order. The room was warm so we opened a window. Had to shut it off immediately because of the smell. We ate at the Michelin star restaurant at the hotel. One of the worst meals we ever had. the food was mediocre, and, every now and than a smell of sewage was introduced...

"Lovely village (the hotel is in the old part of town, up the hill: get any of the buses that stop at the rail station and just tell the driver "Hotel SfinJay": the old town is just 7 minutes away). The restaurants Zaira and the Michelin Guide Book one provide gorgeous food. Lots of friendly cafes to have gelato and your choice of coffee. "The accommodations were very good as were the service and the breakfast buffet. Only problem is that central Chiusi is not a walkable distance from the property. Had to take cabs back and forth, although the man in reception was very helpful in arranging this. No restaurant on the premises but Nanna Rosa is very close to the hotel and the food there is wonderful. "
